He sings and plays bass, guitar and keyboards and enjoys home recording projects. He created and helps run DefibFest, which raises money for public access defibrillators (PADs) through live music. He brings this underlying passion for music into patent work for music technology companies. He created and runs the Melodic Skatepunk Facebook community and helped establish the Produce, Mix, Fix and Conquer (PMFC) Facebook audio community, both of which have around 3,000 members
